2026 TEACHER AND STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming to St Ben's the first week of May! Parents' Club is coordinating coffee, treats and other gifts and we could use your help! 

 

How to get involved:

• Write a note of appreciation to your students' teacher(s) and/or staff. Room parents will collect notes and deliver on Thursday, May 7th. Every year, this is one of the most appreciated tokens we share.
• Volunteer: We can use your help serving the catered lunch, picking up coffee, etc. throughout the week. Check out volunteer opportunities here.
• Give directly to individual teachers and staff. Family gifts are pooled and recipients won't see individual gift amounts. No amount it too small - with group gifts, a little makes a big impact! Give online via GiftCrowd here!
• Donate to catered lunch and small gifts. Parents' Club is hosting the coffee bar and treats but we could use help with costs of the catered lunch. Donate online here.

2026 ST. BEN'S JOG A THON

We’re excited to kick off our annual St. Benedict Jog-a-Thon in May!  The Jog-a-Thon is a fun and active school fundraiser where students run laps to raise money in support of our school. This year, funds raised will go toward decorating and brightening our school fences, as well as purchasing additional P.E. equipment for students to enjoy.

We look forward to cheering on our students at the jogging events:

• June 3rd: 8th Grade Jog-a-Thon

• June 10th: Preschool and Pre-K Jog-a-Thon

• June 11th: Kindergarten to 7th Grade Jog-a-Thon (during Field Day)

Fundraising begins on May 9th. More details on how to participate and support your student will be shared soon.

After school enrichment

Our dynamic classes are designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and fun in every student. And all classes are held at school, making pick up a breeze! If enrolled in Extended Day, students can attend after their enrichment class.

CYO Sports

St. Ben's participates in Archdiocese of Seattle CYO Athletics throughout the school year. These programs are intended to build confidence and skills in our youth while fostering community and care for others. Learn more about CYO sports at St. Ben's here. 

Spring 2026 Sports

Track and Field is open to grades 3rd to 8th grades. Registration is now closed.

 

Practice Info

Practices will begin Tuesday, March 17 at 5:30pm-7pm at Salmon Bay Elementary. They will be Tuesday/Thursdays until late May, then will switch to Monday/Wednesday until first week of June. Since many students play multiple sports, they may attend one practice a week. To maintain team status, they must attend at least one practice a week. 

 

Meet Info

Preliminary Meet: May 9

Qualifying Meet 1: May 17

8th grade Pentathlon: May 16 (8th grade only)

Qualifying Meet 2: May 30

Championship Meet: June 6

 

Times TBD. For those in the School Musical, we will aim for the earlier meet.
