We're excited to announce a new class for our 3rd trimester: Speech and Debate! Taught by Climb the Mountain Speech and Debate Foundation, this class offers your child the opportunity to enhance their communication skills and develop logical, responsive arguments on significant topics.

Enroll now for Speech and Debate. Classes start on Monday, April 8th, from 3:00 pm to 4:45pm. The class is open to 3rd to 8th-grade students. Elementary and Middle School will be separated into two classes debating different topics. SPACE IS LIMITED!

Season begins with practice on Tuesday, March 26 and ends on June 2. Practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays. Meets will be every Saturday in May.

Career Day is a day for our elementary students (K-5) to learn about different jobs they might like to have some day. We would love a diverse range of trades, occupations and professions represented. All parents/adults are able to participate regardless of your child’s grade.

St. Benedict School's Sixth Grade Class is hosting the annual Italian Dinner (formerly Spaghetti Dinner) on Sunday, May 5th from 12-7 pm in the School Cafeteria. More information and ticket sales coming soon!

We are planning the last Parent Ed event this year for late April, "Safe, Secure, and Independent: Supporting our kids' resilience online and in person." This will be a weekday evening in the Auditorium. More information and registration coming soon!

To say thank you to our amazing St. Ben's educators and school employees for everything they do for students and for the community, the Parents Club is asking families to share events tickets and memberships. If you have tickets you'd like to share, please contact us at parentsclub@stbens.net. We will coordinate giveaways to St. Ben's staff on a weekly basis, once we return from spring break.

Last month, the final parish families were announced across the archdiocese, and this month all pastors and key parish leadership  attended in-person regional trainings focused on the next phases of the Partners in the Gospel journey. They learned about the key activities that should take place in each phase of the process.

Phase 0: Prepare

We are currently in Phase Zero, which is a time of preparation. Please continue to pray for this effort. Specifically, we pray that parishioners open their hearts to the Holy Spirit and that the Holy Spirit helps lead us on this journey. We also ask everyone to pray for the Priest Placement Board and our priests as they work together to find the best fit leaders for our parishes.

Archbishop Paul D. Etienne and the Priest Personnel Board just released the Official Appointments including pastors, parochial vicars and other assignments. This was after several months of consultation with priests, deacons, staff and parishioners from around the archdiocese. New assignments will go into effect on July 1, 2024.
